The RAM has always been one of the tried-and-true players in the American pickup game. It packs heritage with modern tech, durability, performance and style. This 2022 RAM 1500 Limited Night Edition comes through with some additional goodies that make it more of an eye-catcher, but the real stars of the show are the new BRINK B202 Insurgent wheels in Royal Bronze with Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme tires.
This RAM 1500 Limited Night Edition is more than your average pickup truck. Of course, there’s the standard 3.6-liter V-6 with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft. of torque with mild hybrid system for a few extra MPGs or an optional 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft. of torque to drive the rear or all-four wheels. This one has the EcoDiesel 3.0-liter V-6 engine with 240 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque for the oil-burning fans out there.
But with the Night Edition, the RAM 1500 Limited mixes things up a bit. Here, the pickup rolls off the factory line with a dark-themed trim package. This includes a grille, headlight bezels, and badges with sporty Black details. A Sport performance hood pairs up with power mirrors and a Tri-Gold Tonneau cover. There’s also a new set of 22-inch Black-finished wheels with Black sidewall tires – that have since been swapped out for a set of BRINK B202 Insurgent Flow Formed Monoblock wheels in Royal Bronze. Inside, there’s some other extra convenience and tech bonuses including a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system to blast your favorite tunes.
But this RAM 1500 Limited Night Edition needed something more than just a traditional set of “Blacked out wheels”. So, a new set of 22×10 BRINK B202 Insurgent wheels were installed with a six-lug configuration. These BRINK Insurgent wheels are flow formed monoblocks that help keep weight to a minimum and strength to the max, while being designed for the load ratings of mid- and full-size trucks. Each BRINK B202 Insurgent rim features a detailed Y-spoke design with a multi-dimensional and chiseled shape that grabs interest and attention the closer one gets. A Royal Bronze finish was also chosen to complement the dark Night Edition aesthetic and Patriot Blue exterior paint of the RAM 1500 Limited. This finish offers a smooth color with semi matte sheen that exudes a high-end, rich look and feel.
For this fitment, the RAM 1500 Limited Night Edition was outfitted with the BRINK B202 Insurgent wheels in a factory spec plus setup that features a 22×10 size with a +12 offset for no rubbing. The rubber of choice is 305/45/22 Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme that feature staged block edges and tie-bars for reduced road noise and comfort paired with an aggressive shoulder and sidewall blocks, and aggressive biting block edges for superior off-road and snow performance.
